EbiKani is a small reaction game that can be played offline without creating an EbiKani account. Game Center support is introduced in version 1.2. In versions that support it, online leaderboards are optional and provided through Apple's Game Center service.
EbiKani does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools. The developer does not operate an EbiKani account server or a gameplay data server.
Core gameplay does not require an internet connection or sign-in. Game Center-enabled versions ask Apple's Game Center service to authenticate at launch. You can decline sign-in and continue playing offline. Online leaderboards require a Game Center account and an internet connection. EbiKani does not receive your Apple Account password.
When you play while signed in, completed game scores and the relevant leaderboard identifiers are sent to Apple's Game Center service and associated with your Game Center player profile. Your score, rank, and Game Center profile information, such as your nickname and avatar, may be visible to other players through Game Center according to Apple's settings.
Apple operates Game Center and processes its service data under Game Center & Privacy. You can manage Game Center sign-in and privacy settings in your device's Settings app. Signing out does not prevent offline play.
EbiKani stores local best scores and sound preferences on your device. For signed-in play, it also stores your Game Center player identifier with pending scores so failed submissions can be retried for the same player. Pending scores are removed after a successful submission. Existing local best scores and games started without Game Center authentication are not automatically uploaded to a leaderboard.
EbiKani does not use in-app purchases.
Offline play does not require an account. Apple's Game Center account settings and parental controls apply to use of the Game Center service.
